Coastline's Volunteer Companion Program was developed to promote volunteerism within the aging network. This goal is accomplished by providing opportunities for volunteers of all ages to help fill needs of our communities' elders.

Volunteers add a valuable dimension to any program and often enable programs to expand community services. In turn, the volunteer has an opportunity for personal and professional growth. New friendships and the satisfaction of helping someone in need are special benefits of volunteer experience.

A Coastline Volunteer Companion is someone who volunteers their time visiting lonely, isolated elders. They provide support and assistance needed to make the days more pleasurable and enables frail and isolated elders to remain in the dignity of their homes.

Who is Eligible to join?

• Persons with a valid driver's license and a safe driving record.

• Persons with time on their hands.
